Saturday in Sherwood was the 60th Annual Robinhood Festival. We had never been before and had no real desire to go this year, but I saw online that the Sherwood Performing Arts was putting on a show of Beauty and the Beast and during the day they were doing a Tea and Story Time with the characters. So we walked downtown Saturday morning and ended up catching half an hour of the parade, which Sam enjoyed, and then joined the cast of Beauty and the Beast and got photos, autographs, and then Belle read a story to the kids before handing out tea (capri sun) and cookies. Sam had a blast, and we have a feeling we'll be doing this every year for the next 8 or so years with two little girls. The walk back was quite sweaty as it had already gotten to 86 degrees by 12:30 for our mile + walk home. We got our workout in.
