Trick or Treat x2

I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween. Samantha has been so excited for Halloween, constantly talking about it and asking how many naps until Halloween, so excited for trick or treating, everything. When she got up this morning she was so excited, wanted to put her dress on first thing. Luckily I was able to get her to wait until after lunch and then let Halloween commence. This afternoon we headed to downtown Sherwood where a bunch of the businesses hand out treats to the kids. Sam of course loved that she got to trick or treat twice and the donut shop handed out donut holes, another score. After walking through downtown we headed home for dinner before heading out for round two in our neighborhood. She loves that the police set up shop at the park across the street from our house and hand out more donuts and glow bracelets. We only really went to a handful of houses, but our neighbors across the street hand out full size candy bars, and between that and the police, she has a good time and is ready and requesting to go home. Sam had probably the most fun handing out candy to the trick or treaters. Every time the bell rang or someone knocked she got so excited and handed each candy personally and told them all Happy Halloween.
Thanks to my dad and Kaye for coming trick or treating downtown with us, and to my mom and Tim (and Stella) for handing out candy at our place while we were out, and hiding out in our house instead of handing out candy to 600 kids in your neighborhood.

Audrey got the hang of it.

Sam took Audrey's hand and lead her to get some more candy.

Audrey did not want to leave the Sweet Story Bakery from trick or treating, she just wanted to stare at the cookies in the case.

Happy Halloween

Ok, and now the original before I had WAY to much fun with Halloween editing. :o)

Pumpkin Patch (#2 & #3)

This last weekend Saturday we headed to Lee Farms for a first birthday party, and then Sunday we headed to Fir Point Farms in Aurora. Lee Farms was fun, lots of people in a small space. Lots of good stuff, but just lots of people too. Sam suddenly decided to become brave and do more than she's ever done. She wanted to do a big slide, so her and Keira headed up after Claire. We were convinced they wouldn't do it by themselves, but once the big girls helped them get their potato sacks placed, down came Sam. She looked terrified, but did it, didn't cry, didn't hold on, that's a WIN. Then she wanted to ride a pony. (This summer, August, she had the chance to ride a pony at the Clackamas Co. Fair with my parents, but she passed) She was so excited to do it this time. She kept petting the pony, rode around in the circle with me walking, and had a blast. She keeps saying it was her favorite part of the weekend. She also then did the a bounce house with Keira. It was hard to pull her away to head to a family dinner. Somehow that girl got some Wayne Berger in her afterall, she has become obsessed with tractors and farm life. Too funny, and does not get that from me.

Sunday we headed to Fir Point Farms since Josh's boss was there. His wife makes wooden lawn decorations for the holidays and had a tent set up. It was nice to meet Ron's wife, and see what she does. Then one of Josh's customers was there too and hooked us up with some popcorn. Sam and Audrey both played with some pedal cars, ran around, and saw the goats (and one large turkey!) at the petting zoo area. Audrey loves the goats, and one of the baby goats really loved her too!

It was such a nice weekend, the weather was great so it was nice we had outside plans. I felt bad coming home by noon on Sunday when it got up to the mid 70's for likely the last time this season. It was nice to come home and relax for a bit however!

All smiles at the bottom

Life in Instagram, another month

Another round of snippets of our life.

Sam sitting in a firetruck, so happy

And all of us riding a trolley, Sam was sooo happy that day.

Beautiful sunrise

My Monday morning shopping buddy

Hanging with Mom on one of my days off while sister is at preschool

Ya, just the beginning of her lasagna face

From the fire out by Hagg Lake

Food in hair, then down and into the mouth

Both girls trying on mommy's new hat

That darn cheerio stayed there for a long time. I saw it, got my phone, she moved, jumped onto a pillow, sat back up, and it was still there. Yes, she then ate it.

Just playing in her room

I hate waking this sleepy girl

So peaceful... so quiet!

Wow, lots of pink and polka dots!

She saw the Seahasks logo on the kids menu at Red Robin and said "look mom, football".

A random horse bench outside Fred Meyer

Oh the fun of doing consignment sales... but got ride of clothes and made money

Bye Bye pile of clothes, until spring when I do it all again

Target Olaf hat

Checking out the new Cabella's... I've never felt so out of place shopping before

Pretty cool inside though, Sam loved it.

Yep, she lifts my little 3 pound weights, and loves it.

If only Audrey were awake... Go Ducks!

Bumping along on the cow train with my silly girl

Uh oh, they sell these at Target... taste good, yum.
