No Ice Cream
Do you like ice cream? Does your child like ice cream? Really, who doesn't? Well, Sam has never been into it. The first time she tried it she freaked out I think at the cold and melting aspect. Now she's just so afraid to go there again. She did end up having one bite from an ice cream birthday cake last weekend, but then said she was all done. She's just not into it. We had to try and capture her mood... we'll play this one back in a few years. Haha.
Baby Sister's Room
So since we're not sharing the name, I can at least share photos. No wall color this time around, but vibrant colors within. I have covered up anywhere her name or initials appear, hence the pretty block coloring. Hopefully all will be revealed soon. 38 weeks along... hoping any day now, but could still be a couple weeks.

Wayne... via Josh
Wayne used to do this with all the kids when they were little. Josh has done it with Sam in the past, but she's really into it now and asks to ride the horsey. She's smart too, she'll ride on one leg, then get down and ask to ride on the other. Two horses... come on daddy! :o)
"This is the way the country girls ride, the country girls ride, the country girls ride. This is the way the country girls ride, hippity hoppity horsey."

Beach Day
The weather looked great, our schedule was open, it was our last chance. Saturday we headed to Cannon Beach! We hadn't been to the beach since August, and were having severe withdrawls. So headed to the Hillsboro Market in the morning to get some food and meet up with the Borts' and off we all went.
Usually when we go to the market, Samantha sleeps in the car just on the way home so we figured the drive to the beach would be great. Of course she did NOT sleep the entire way to the beach. We met up to get some breakfast/lunch at Pig n Pancake and Sam really was ready to go. Our next stop, the beach! It was super windy as we headed down onto the sand. Samantha started crying and did not want to be out of daddy's arms. She would not stop crying. Josh tried to calm her down by walking back away from the ocean, but she never calmed down. They wandered around the parking lots for a while while I stayed on the beach with Dan, Lacey, and Keira. Keira was a trooper, even not feeling well, she played in the sand for a little bit. We still only stayed for about half an hour as it was a big chilly, and my poor family wasn't there to spend time with. It was gorgeous looking however, just that darn wind! I did have to at least get one photo of the belly on the beach so I stole the idea from a high school friend who posted the same photo a month ago or so. Then Lacey got the same photo.
After that we headed to walk along the shops, get some ice cream, and enjoy just being at the beach. The Borts' headed home and Josh, Sam, and I walked around a bit more and then headed to Mo's for a quick bite before heading back home. Of course Sam slept for an hour on the car ride home, and then was awake when we got home an hour before bedtime. She was introduced to The Lion King at that point, something to keep her energy level low!
All other photos I have are just of the Borts' family, actually not a single one of Sam at the beach, so I'll leave those photos for Lacey to post on her blog (once I send her the photos).
It looked great...

Children's Museum
For a few weeks now as I've become more and more immobile Josh has been wanting to take Samantha places to entertain and hopefully tire her out. The zoo a few weeks ago was good, but exhausting for me. But last weekend as Bank of America customers, we were able to go to the Children's Museum for free (although we still had to pay full price for Sam since she doesn't have a bank account yet). We had never been there. It was great. I got to sit down when we reached different stations and played.
We were happy it worked out for most of the Manson family to join us. Poor Jason stayed home building a deck. Julie was also happy to get out of the house and entertain the kids with extra eyes while Dale and Jason got some work done. We loved that Julie could show us around since there are so many places to go! As always, pictures below! (Lots for the Manson's too)

Finally time for the water station. Sam wasn't sure about Quinton's eagerness to get wet. haha

Silly Samantha
Just Samantha being silly. Now that we have a baby monitor again we can see what she really does when we put her to bed in her big girl room... the long 5 day weekend really got her all off track and all this last week was difficult to get her to fall asleep. This is just a small glimpse of what we saw of her antics.
Just some of her silly play time photos with my phone
