Samantha is 2!?!?

I can't believe our little girl is already 2 years old! At the same time, time flies when you're having fun and it certainly has been a fun 2 years with our little girl.


Saturday we had her birthday party at our house with friends and grandparents, then Sunday we headed to Grandma Pat's house for a family dinner there. This morning we woke up and told her it was her birthday today. I think she's fully confused now having been told it's her birthday for 3 days now. The girl will be sorely disappointed the next time she sees presents and is told they're not for her. Between Christmas and this weekend she's got the present thing down and loves it. She's not so much into the dessert portion, but lights up for presents.

Thank you to everyone who came to her party (either day) and for all the love and support we get on a daily basis.

I didn't try to take a photo of her blowing out the candles. I was more worried about making sure her hair stayed away from the flame. As it turned out she blew the candles out herself. Oh well

Cosmic Tubing

Last week I got a text from Julie who was planning a Cosmic Tubing event at Ski Bowl for Jason's 30th Birthday. Saturday night after dropping Sam off with my parents we met up with the Manson's and Borts' to hit the mountain. It was very weird to drive to the mountain in the dark, especially for someone who doesn't even ski and isn't used to driving to or from the mountain at any time. We each did our own level of tubing depending on our levels of being hurt or pregnant, and frankly it was fun, and I enjoyed sitting by the fire warming up as well. I've never been so cold in my life while getting my layers on when we got to the mountain, but it was all worth it. We hit up Shari's for dessert on our way back home and ended a great night with friends.
