Easter and Sun... Together

When was the last time we had Easter in the sun... and warmth, in March, in Oregon? I was very confused, but happy to see the bright orb in the sky for another day, and to feel the heat. We started the day heading off to church. Church now is quite the experience. Sam is aware enough to know grandma is there, and she can hear her.. although not always see her to be fair. All throughout the service not only is she just getting restless trying to sit still, and be fairly quiet, but she periodically asks "where'd bama go?" Everyone in the congregation thinks it's adorable, and of course it is, but after an hour she has her moments.

After church we headed to my aunt and uncle's house just a few miles away, Sam was asleep almost instantly in the car. Once there we did an egg hunt, not how everyone pictures them... the adults participate. We do them every year, usually all we have are adults participating, and it's cut throat. Since Sam is still too little to care about the candy and the next youngest kid there was 8, Sam walked around with Josh while the rest of us scrambled around shoving eggs in our baskets, or anywhere else we could find to store them. Then an amazing salmon meal with tons of sides.

The weather cooperated way too well... LOVE some of these photos!

I want to do all my outdoor photos in their yard!

With my cousins's kids, Tegan and Kya

Some of us put eggs down our shirt when we filled our baskets... baby got a little bumpy

Feeding the horses in the yard next door

After we finished, Sam got to "hunt" some empty eggs

She loved it, and then dumped them all out in a pile and put them back in her basket, a few times

This might be my favorite right now

After the hunt and dinner it was time for run around and play clothes.. and bubbles!
