Audrey is 9 Months
I wanted to wait until Audrey had her 9 month check up before posting her update. She is of course growing like a weed (we should know we have tons of those around here!). Her height is in the 81st percentile, and head at 46 cm puts her in the 94th percentile. Her weight is of course still off the charts. We keep thinking the more she moves the slower her weight gain will be... still not so much. She moves more, but eats more too. At her 7 month appointment we told her doctor how she really didn't seem to like much food, of course we were giving her all sorts of baby food purees. She just didn't' care for that as it turns out. He told us to give her whatever we eat. She LOVES real food. She makes the wide open mouth face and has a slight body jerking motion when she sees food she wants. It's hilarious. She loves meat, chicken, fish, shrimp, beef, turkey. She loves yogurt, cheese, pasta, rice, potato. She can tolerate some fruits and veggies, but seems to prefer the heavier stuff. LOL. She also of course loves cheerios, a staple around here. She also walks along the furniture, she's been doing that for almost 2 months now. She will now hold on with one hand and reach for something else, trying to maneuver more, but not quite ready to take steps. We're ok with that, we know it will happen too soon as it is. She also discovered stairs this week when my mom was watching the girls. She stayed away until I got back and then we let her at them. She had no problem going up, and had an interesting technique coming back down. She would crawl up like normal, and then to go back down would lay sideways and start with her head going down a step, and then roll her massive body down with her head. Interesting, and would have made for one rolling tumbling baby if mommy had not been there to hold on. Goodness. She is definitely different from her sister, but just as much fun! Mommy has her hands full these days!Friday, April 11, 2014
Tulip Festival 2014
This year I bought a season pass so I could come and go anytime during the festival and not have to pay per car. So earlier this week I dropped the girls off at my mom's house, 15 minutes from the festival, and headed out to take some photos of the flowers. It turned out to be super sunny, which was great, but not the best for a lot of shots. We'll be going as a family one day so I can get some shots of the girls, and some as a family, and then I'm hoping to go at least one more time after that, maybe a sunrise if the weather and timing cooperates. We'll see.
